Get EPA 608 is not affiliated with, endorsed by, approved by or sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the ESCO Institute, Mainstream Engineering, HVAC Excellence, or any other approved certifying organisation. Those names are used descriptively only.

We do not administer the certification

Section 608 technician certification must be issued by an EPA-approved certifying organisation. This site prepares you for that exam; it cannot award the credential. Note also that an open-book Core result cannot be used toward Universal certification — confirm the rules with your chosen organisation before you sit anything.

Practice material is not the live exam

Our questions are original training material written from 40 CFR Part 82 and the published knowledge areas. They are not leaked, recalled or guaranteed replicas of live exam questions. Wording, emphasis and figures differ between certifying organisations and change over time.

No passing guarantee

Scores and readiness figures are learning indicators, not predictions. Passing depends on your preparation, your understanding, and the exam you are given.

Not technical or safety advice

Nothing here is instruction for work on live equipment. Recovering refrigerant, handling cylinders and servicing pressurised systems carry real risk. Follow your employer's procedures, manufacturer instructions, and applicable safety regulations — not a study question.
