What cookies and browser storage are

Cookies are small text records stored by your browser. Similar technologies, including local storage, remember information on your device. They can keep a session secure, remember a choice, or preserve progress between pages.

What we use

• Authentication and security: Supabase session cookies keep you signed in, verify requests and protect accounts. Signing out clears them.
• Feature continuity: browser storage holds an in-progress free practice result so that a score earned before you registered can be carried into your new account.

Both are used to provide features you have asked for and to keep the service secure. Blocking them will prevent sign-in and stop progress being saved.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people find useful and how they move through the site. It sets two cookies in your browser, _ga and a second beginning _ga_, which distinguish one visitor from another and group page views into a single visit. By default these persist for up to two years. Google processes this data on our behalf; see Google’s privacy policy for how they handle it.

We do not use these cookies for advertising, and we do not use advertising cookies, remarketing or cross-site tracking of any kind.

Opting out of analytics

You can block or delete analytics cookies through your browser settings. Google also publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics across every site that uses it. Blocking analytics does not affect the service: sign-in, saved progress and purchased access all work normally without it.

Managing storage

You can inspect, block or delete cookies and site data through your browser settings. Deleting session cookies will sign you out, and clearing local storage will discard any free practice result that has not yet been saved to an account.
